Library Services

1. Lending Service:

   The lending of books, compendium, reports, CDs and others resources

2. Current Contents Service :

   IGNFA library subscribes to 66 Indian & Foreign journals. It compiles periodically and displays a brief on the contents of current journals in the form of a booklet.

3. Browsing and access to e - resources:

   IGFNA Library provides access to e-resources to its users within the campus as well off the campus.

4. Reference and Referral Service:

   Library provides reference services from its own databases and collections according to the nature of query in the field of Environment, Forests, wildlife and its application areas.

5. Content Information Service:

   Content of current journals in printed form are being displayed and circulated to the users.

6. Bibliographical Information Service:

   Bibliographies are provided on a particular topic on demand as well as in anticipation of such demands from its databases

7. Reprographic Service:

   Photocopy of full text articles, selected pages of books and other materials from its collection at nominal charges ( 50 Paisa per page).

8. Database Search:

   Database search is facilitated through in-house database and CD-Rom database maintained in the library.

9. Press Clipping Services:

   IGNFA library provides newspaper clippings from the leading newspapers and magazines related to forestry, climate change, environment, eco-development, pollution control and wildlife conservation and its related fields.

10. Inter-Library Loan:

    IGNFA Library maintains close and cordial relation with other libraries in Dehradun. If a document is not available here, we can borrow it from other local libraries

11. OPAC and Web- OPAC:

    Online Public Access Catalogue of library collection provided to all the library users. The library OPAC can be accessed through the Internet browser.
